Trump made an unscheduled, secretive visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on a sunny weekend when he usually would have been playing golf.
Why? Well, Trump claimed it was part of his annual physical. But that seemed unlikely because the press had been allowed to cover his previous exams--but not this one. OTDI 2020, NYT reporter Mike Schmidt even revealed that VP Pence had been ready to take over if Trump had become incapacitated while hospitalized.
So why was the White House covering up the reason, despite repeated questioning about what was going on?
Trump missed his opportunity to be a real president. Turns out the real reason he went to the doctor’s office was…for a colonoscopy. So what? Most Americans are advised to get regular colonoscopies once they reach the age of 45. Colorectal cancer is the 3rd-most diagnosed cancer in the U.S.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if—instead of sneaking around — our leader proudly said “Hey everybody. Regular colonoscopies help stop cancer in its tracks! I just got mine, and I encourage you to get yours too!”
Think of how many lives President Donald Trump could have saved that way. Instead, he just behaved like an ass.
Here's how you can save lives: Just because that president wouldn’t bother helping others doesn’t mean you can’t try. In addition to getting your own regular screenings, you can consider learning more about the quest for a cure here at the colorectal cancer alliance: www.ccalliance.org

You are so right about the colonoscopy made public. I remember Katie Corrick had one on TV after her husband died of colon cancer and she encouraged every viewer to get one.
