Trump has long history of insulting Black women. Calls this one a "crazed, lowlife dog."
On This Day In 2018
Of course Trump, like a third-grader, mocks people of every demographic. But he seems to reserve a special place in his tiny heart to blast Black women most ferociously.
OTDI 2018, Omarosa released her book "Unhinged" about her time working both on The Apprentice and in the White House. She recounted instances of Trump’s racism and sexism and claimed a tape exists of him using the N-word. Trump sued, unsuccessfully, and his campaign was ordered to pay her nearly $1.3 million.
Other examples of Trump's singling out Black women for his ugly, ugly scorn:
"With Jemele Hill at the mike [sic], it is no wonder ESPN ratings have ‘tanked,’ in fact, tanked so badly it is the talk of the industry!”
“I hope the Fake News Media keeps talking about Wacky Congresswoman Wilson in that she, as a representative, is killing the Democrat (sic) Party!”
"Totally dishonest Donna Brazile (sic) chokes on the truth. Highly illegal!
Re prosecutors in his recent trials, PBS explained, Trump "has used terms such as “animal” and “rabid” to describe Black district attorneys. He has accused Black prosecutors of being “racist.” He has made unsupported claims about their personal lives. And...Trump has deployed terms that rhyme with racial slurs... .The rhetoric is a reminder of Trump’s tendency to use coded racial messaging as a signal to supporters, an approach he has deployed over several decades... Even if he doesn’t explicitly employ racial slurs, his language recalls America’s history of portraying Black people as not fully human.”
Okay, we could go on for pages of examples. But you get the idea. This isn't new. Here are two things which, in 2024, ARE new:
Trump is now faced with a savvy opponent who is a Black woman, and it seems to be driving him nuts. (Well, he was already nuts. But, again, you get the idea.) His claims about Harris' race went over...poorly. As Politico put it, his stance "blows up in his face."
Some Trump worshippers have resorted to creating weird deepfakes to make it seem as if Trump likes Black people. Most voters aren't fooled, but with the election this tight, tricking even a low % of viewers could have a big impact.
